In 1960, Raymond Ristau, his brother, Elwyn, and their father, Albert, envisioned a golf course gracing their picturesque property on Jackson Run Rd. They enlisted C.E. “Robbie” Robinson, then President of the Canadian Golf Association, to design the initial nine holes. Just fourteen months later, Jackson Valley Country Club opened its doors, with plans already underway for the second nine.
Over the years, the course has evolved under several owners, eaching leaving their own mark.. Holes have been reconfigured, new tee boxes added, and amenities expanded. These influences remain visible today, adding to the course's unique character.
Tom and Julie Moyer, the current owners since 2007, have prioritized the customer experience. Tom Moyer's philosophy centers on golfer satisfaction, driving continuous improvements to ensure the best possible experience.
Today, Jackson Valley Golf Course stretches to 6,300 yards and offers five sets of tees, welcoming players or all ages and abilities.The clubhouse features diverse dining and drink specials throughout the week, including a popular Friday night prime rib dinner. The fully stocked pro shop caters to every golfer's needs. And thanks to indoor simulator golf, the season never ends at Jackson Valley.
